I have pushed them all the way in, or just had them slightly fitted, depending on the overall volume. They do dull the sound a bit, but the trade off is your hearing is fine at the end of the night.

Ringing ears after gigs is a thing of the past!Review date: 2009-03-04 Rating: 10 out of 10I've had these earplugs for about 5 months now and they really are an excellent choice when buying earplugs! They block out all that loud and hissy high end noise whilst retaining a good volume for you to still enjoy the music being played/performed. When I re-adjust them for a more comfortable fit after some time, and some of the sound is let into my ears, it's amazing to hear how loud the actual music is and to hear what's being blocked out! It makes me think why I didn't buy earplugs before to wear at gigs, they really do stop the ringing which occurs after the gig; and what's most important, is that your hearing will still be intact for years to come!
If you go to gigs frequently, big or small, then these really are a MUST and are inexpensive for what they provide!
